For this cupcake bag, I tried making my own applique and thank goodness, I'm more than happy with the outcome. Hope you like it too :) To make the cupcake applique, I used fusible interface. You can get it at craft shops. This sheet needs to be ironed on the fabric that you use for your design. It helps to hold the shape of your image. I then embellished my cupcake with ribbons and a button. You can make so many other images and designs of appliques. But remember to draw a draft first so that nothing get wasted :)
To sew the applique on your bag, you can use zigzag stitch or button stitch. I used both. This cupcake bag was so much fun to make! More to come SOON!! ;)
